The steel structure specification of the new trestle fender is 7 meters by 3.6 meters, with a total of 16 pieces, which are evenly distributed in the widened section and downhill end of the trestle, for docking ships. The whole installation process shall be carried out at low tide level, and the steel structure of the fender shall be ensured to be on the same plane. Therefore, the actual position shall be determined according to the deviation direction and size of each pile, then the welding leg of the steel structure of the fender shall be cut and re welded to the arc plate, and the coating repair shall be carried out after the reconstruction is completed. The measurement accuracy and cutting requirements are extremely high. The first fender steel structure installed this time is located on the opposite side of the temporary embankment, and needs to be lifted across the bridge with a crane. The crane operator operates according to the commander's gesture throughout the whole process. The welding and installation process is also completed on the water work platform, which is difficult to construct.
In order to improve the construction efficiency and ensure the project quality, the Project Department has set up a special lifting team, and carried out on-site safety training for relevant operators in advance to improve safety awareness and identify potential safety hazards. On the day of hoisting, the on-site staff overcame the high temperature and high humidity environment, seized the favorable opportunity of low tide to carry out construction, and successfully completed the installation of the first fender steel structure from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. for 5 hours of continuous offshore operation. So far, the construction of the main works of the new trestle has entered the sprint stage.
