Because the high elasticity of rubber shock pad can alleviate the adverse consequences after vibration, it can be seen on more and more occasions. What are its advantages? What are the installation specifications? Now, let's have a look!
Advantages of rubber shock pad:
(1) No sliding part, easy to maintain;
(2) The internal friction is large, and the shock absorption effect is good, which is conducive to crossing the resonance area and attenuation of high-frequency vibration and noise;
(3) The impact stiffness is higher than the static stiffness and dynamic stiffness, which is conducive to impact deformation;
(4) The shape can be freely determined, and the hardness can be controlled by adjusting the composition of the rubber formula, which can meet the requirements for stiffness and strength in all directions;
(5) Small quality, easy installation and disassembly;
(6) The elastic modulus is much smaller than that of metal, which can produce large elastic deformation.
Installation specification of rubber shock pad:
The strength of the rubber joint shall be strengthened so that the inner rubber layer is free of impurities, bubbles and delamination. Secondly, the reinforcing layer is free of delamination marks, the outer rubber layer is free of external force damage marks, and the inner wire rings at both ends of the rubber part shall be round without obvious deformation, fracture and dislocation.
It is required that the rubber joint products made are not limited by the parallel and through center of the pipeline, and can adapt to various displacements (axial, angular, axial), flexible and simple installation, and can eliminate the installation stress and deformation stress of the pipeline, with unique performance that metal joints cannot replace.
In addition, the flange rubber joint must be installed with reinforcing rings at both ends of the sphere (The rigid wire rope in the protruding part) is all clamped into the flange groove to prevent the sphere from pulling off the flange when the pipeline is under pressure.
When installing bolts, first install symmetrical bolts (six or four) tighten to ensure that the ball and flange are all in place. When the rubber joint is connected with the pipe flange, the screw rod of the bolt shall extend to one end of the pipe flange to prevent the thread from squeezing or pricking the arch part of the rubber joint when it is pressurized and expanded.
The bolts at each end must be symmetrically pressurized and tightened to ensure that all bolts have the same tightness. In places with poor service conditions, in addition to flat washers, spring washers should also be added to prevent nuts from loosening.
Finally, when the rubber joint is in water When the (oil) pump outlet is used in a short distance or under frequent starting and stopping conditions, in order to reduce the impact on the pump and pipeline caused by excessive stretching and compression of the rubber joint length, limit devices should be added at both ends of the flange.
